Rosa Academy teaches clay in the town that turned it into an art known around the world. It grew out of a historic workshop, opened its doors to everyone, and uses an ancient craft to do two things at once: include those left behind and bring the town back to life.
A family story
Behind Rosa Academy there is Rosa Creazioni
The Rosa family has always had clay in their hands: Rosa Creazioni is their signature, with workshops across Puglia. From Giuseppe to his son Mattia, the craft passes from hand to hand. Rosa Academy takes it one step further: that knowledge no longer stays in the family, it gets shared.
The programmes
Four different roads,
the same clay.
Every programme is built around the people who attend it: different schedules, different rhythms, different goals, but always a master potter beside you and your hands in the clay from day one.

Children and schools
Using the Montessori method, learning happens through play: dexterity, patience and the pride of making something with your own hands. A fixed appointment throughout the school year.

Co-operatives and inclusion
A long programme designed together with local care co-operatives, with adapted wheels and tools. At its centre: independence, working as a group, and the discovery of being able.

For 18 to 34 year olds looking for a direction: theory and practice, advanced techniques and a certificate. A vocational path, and those who excel join the project itself.

Some people fall behind not for lack of talent, but because nobody ever put the right opportunity in their hands. Clay has a rare gift: it asks for no words, no qualifications, and no need to be «normal». It only asks for a pair of hands.

Grottaglie is the town of ceramics: an entire quarter of workshops where, for generations, hands have turned clay into work that travels the world. A tradition kept behind glass, though, sooner or later stops breathing.
Rosa Academy lets it breathe again: it takes the art of this place and turns it into a living experience, something you touch, learn and carry home.
